* WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE REAL ESTATE MARKET updated on March 17, 2008. There are 14,666 homes on the market (active and pending sales); approximately 12% of them are pending, 88% are active. After a slow down during the holidays, the number of homes active and pending on the market are similar to the amount we saw back in July. In the last two months, the pending sales have picked up with an increase of approximately 60%.
